WHAT IS ALUMINIUM PACKAGING
Aluminium packaging is a lightweight metal format used in food service, primarily for food prep and applications where heat retention is vital. At Viro Solutions, aluminium packaging includes recycled-aluminium foil trays in multiple sizes
ALUMINIUM PACKAGING RECYCLABILITY
Aqueous-coated paper is a PAP22 material. Recyclability depends on coating chemistry and coating weight, as well as on whether local mills can repulp and screen the material effectively. Paper recycling guidance commonly notes that non-fibre elements can create challenges for mills, so acceptance is not automatic because the base is paper.
ALUMINIUM PACKAGING ECO-FRIENDLINESS
Recycling aluminium uses about 95.5% less energy than producing primary aluminium, significantly reducing the material's footprint when it's kept in circulation. For food service, aluminium can also reduce waste through performance. It's heat-stable and durable, which supports transport and reheating.
OUR COMMITMENT TO LOOP CERTIFIED PRODUCTS
At Viro, we have created product standards and certifications to mandate local production, circular design for recyclability, and minimum levels of post-consumer recycled content. Our Loop Certified initiative underscores our dedication to sustainability and circularity in packaging solutions.
